The editorial team handles the financial documents and communicates each team’s goals that they strive to achieve in relation to the Hindsight show preparation. Miikal and Sabrina also take part in reviewing written work other teams produce. Both editorial and task manager teams play a big role in the organization aspect by work closely together to ensure all technical documents are fulfilled from all teams.
The name Hindsight was determined as a class. The design team is responsible for the visual identity of the show. Since Hindsight is 20/20 and the year is 2020, the team has experimented with reflective print material to communicate looking back at the past. This is incorporated into the high contrast colour scheme of black and white. Past grad show themes are implemented to pay tribute to the end of the Visual Communications title which will soon change to Art and Design.

Building connections between the community and the graduating students is the main focus for the networking team. This includes reaching out to local companies in the design and art field, visiting high schools to inform students of the program, and promoting the show at the Tourist Centre of Medicine Hat. These connections are best demonstrated in our podcast where you can listen in on talks with locals in the design and art field.
To reflect Hindsight, Sierra Levac captures in detail our day to day operations in preparation for the show. Sierra invites us all to jump inside the studio space to view the working students in a more personal manner. This creates memorable content for the final show under the name of Visual Communications before being redefined as the Art and Design program.
To aid in connecting with the community, the graduating class has been producing an art and design focused podcast. The podcast allows us to connect with local artists, designers, business owners, and instructors in Medicine Hat. The podcast has also provided an opportunity for the community to learn more about Hindsight’s graduating students and the importance of art and design. Want to listen to an episode? The reception team is responsible for the overall experience of the show. The majority of this role involves preparatory work for April 4th. This includes elements such as catering, music, collecting quotes, and the overall energy of the Hindsight show. The reception and editorial teams collaborate to ensure everything is manageable for the reception.
As task manager, Savannah Mass keeps all teams on schedule and jumps in to help out when needed. Savannah keeps everybody up to date by posting regular updates on each team progress, leads discussion meetings, and is a neutral mediator within groups.
To encourage a connection between the graduates and the community, the video team has conducted interviews with the students. These interviews are approximately a minute long and give the students a chance to introduce themselves and their projects. Keep your eyes peeled for video content on the grads social media, or wait to see the interviews at the Hindsight grad show reception!

The web team is responsible for designing and coding the website. Pages range from info about the show to intriguing content like the podcast. Elements such as photography, video, and illustrated motion graphics are incorporated to reflect the show’s visual language and content.
